You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON’T WORK.
You won’t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON’T WORK.
You’ll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. Here is another episode in diet vs. exercise. Today in the diet corner we once again have Brad Pilon, this time he will be snacking on 2 espresso brownies each weighing in at around 300 calories and he’ll wash that down with a 700 calorie Starbucks frappacino.
Representing the exercise corner, I’m going to perform a series of 1-armed kettlebell swings with a 35 pound kettlebell.
As Pilon gulps down the frappacino, I am working very hard at a pace neither I nor any other individuals in the gym would typically go at. The point here is that individuals can mindlessly consume calories before and after meals and it not even register with them.
Now that Brad has finished off both of his snacks and consumed nearly 1400 calories, I have completed 60 snatches of the KB swings and burned about 50 calories. Although the kettlebell swings did burn a lot of calories, in a
short amount of time, it pales in comparison to the calories Pilon took in.
The results speak for themselves and t is very apparent that diet once again wins the battle in diet vs. exercise. This is precisely why individuals who go to the gym and work really hard for an hour are not going to burn fat if
they are consuming so many calories mindlessly. You just can’t out train a bad diet.

In this presentation I’m going to cover the basics of a sound eating plan that will support you in your achieving muscle building and fat loss goals.
Eating is a huge part of our life, everything revolves around eating in some way or another, so if you don’t have a simple easy to follow nutrition program then you’ll never stick with it long term and get the results you want.
To get long term results you need to have a long term eating plan. Not just some quick fix diet to get in shape in a hurry. You need an eating plan that you can be comfortable with for life.
The first thing you need to do is get in the habit of eating every 3 hours during the day. This generally works out to 6 small meals per day.
The typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner just doesn’t cut it when it comes to optimal muscle building nutrition. You need to frequent feedings throughout the day to maintain a steady influx of nutrients in your system.
Try to space your meals out equally over 6 small meals during the day. This will keep your appetite under control, keep your energy levels stable, and help to prevent your from stuffing yourself and eating too much at any one particular meal.
A common mistake that a lot of novice bodybuilders make when trying to gain muscular size quickly is to force feed and stuff themselves in effort to consume more calories for growth. But rather then doing this, you are much better off adding in extra meals.
This also works in the opposite…. Some people who are trying to lose weight will only eat 1 or 2 large meals per day and then try to justify it because their overall caloric intake is still low.
But this causes poor nutrition absorbstion and triggers fat storage. Large infrequent will cause huge spikes in your insulin levels, when your insulin levels are high, your body’s ability to burn fat is suppressed.
So to avoid this space your food out equally over 6 small meals per day. One every 3 hours.

One of the most heartwarming diet, health, and weight loss stories that has been ongoing since January 2006 is the effort being undertaken by former half-ton man Manuel Uribe, aka “The World’s Heaviest Man,” to lose almost 1,000 pounds and save his life. Manuel Uribe Garza (born June 11, 1965) is a man from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, and was one of the heaviest people in medical history. After reaching a peak weight of around 597 kg (1,316 lb) and being unable to leave his bed since 2001, Uribe lost considerable weight with the help of doctors and nutritionists, and by following the Zone diet.
Uribe drew worldwide attention when he appeared on the Televisa television network in January 2006, but turned down offers for gastric surgery in Italy. In March 2007, Uribe set a goal to lower his weight to 120 kg (265 lb). He has also been featured on “World’s Heaviest Man”, a television documentary about his bedridden life and attempts to lose weight. By the end of 2008, Uribe had reduced his weight to 360 kg (800 lb). His weight loss efforts continue to this day.

Apart from attracting his fair share of media attention, he managed to shed over 100 lb in the process. But Vaught’s journey was not without controversy. Questions were raised by both the media and fans as to whether Vaught caught rides and did not in fact walk every mile. Vaught was also still morbidly obese upon completion of his journey. In his defense he claims “You can’t cheat. There is no possible way to cheat. It was my journey () I didn’t care about where I was at and where I was going. I don’t care if it was 2,800 or 1,500 miles. . . . It’s about where your head is.”
